Busy week.....and potty training issues

We have begun the potty training with the youngest munchkin but it hasn't been going to well...she has other potty issues that we are trying to get a handle on and that is making the task of mastering the tiolet a lot harder. I have not had to to do this for over 10 years so any advice out there to get our little niece to "go" like a big girl?????

Can't believe it is already the end of the week, it has just flown by when the house is filled with little munchkins. They are a lot of work but they just crack us up all the time!!!!

We had a baby shower on Monday night for Hailey's youth leader, Carrie. It was a surprise and she was really shocked but excited. Her husband, Tyson, is also one of the youth leaders at our church and he was also Hailey's English and History teacher this past year and Carrie is a counselor for the same school. They are a very special young couple who devote much of their time to work with youth through church, school and sports (they both coach girls basketball and volleyball) and deserve to spoiled with lots of love from the kids. Hailey and her friend Maddy planned the shower, made invitations, organized everyone to bring food....I was really proud of how mature they were through the whole process and the shower turned out just great. Now we just have a month or so to wait before the new baby arrives.

Somethings change and somethings stay the same...

Heather and Brett.....Man and Wife on July 20, 2007

Last night we traveled down memory lane when we attending a family friend's wedding. The brother of the groom was our 6 year old ring bearer at our wedding 16 years ago almost to the day. The coolest part was they had their reception at the same location that we had ours and many of the same people were there. We so enjoyed reminiscing about our special day so many years ago and sharing those moments with Hailey and Kyla too. The wedding was absolutely gorgeous and so much fun!!!! Here are some photos from last night and from 16 years ago....(lots of photos because my parents couldn't make it, but hopefully they can enjoy these ones while vacationing in Michigan:)

Gracie Goodies

Yesterday the postman left a wonderful box on the front porch from my Firefly Secret Pal...we just love all the goodies for our Grace. Thank you secret pal!!!!

I also got inspired to clean out her room and Hailey helped me organize all her stuff. Wow, this girl has already been spoiled...her dresser and shelves are bursting full of wonderful things...we just need our girl!!!!

Now we just need to decide how we are going to decorate. Originally, I wanted to use the PB Kids Daisy Garden bedding in pink because I thought it would go so nicely with our yellow furniture and the pretty light aqua walls.....

....but Hailey and Kyla think we should paint the room just for her. Also, my sister and I are going to swap furniture for awhile since Ellie can use the yellow furniture now (it has a cute little bed with it) and I will use her white wicker nursery furniture while Grace is little. This means I can really decorate in any way I want.....what is a girl to do??????? Dream of all the nursery possibilities!

On the "little girl" front...we had a crafty afternoon...Emma and Ellie had fun making special pens with Hailey...they even made special ones for their mommy and daddy:)
