Enough fun...back to the adoption world!
I have told myself that I just shouldn't look at the Rumor Queen site, and of course my hubby wishes I wouldn't. Just yesterday I found myself saying that I wasn't going to worry about the wait times. What a difference a day makes. Maybe I am having my post birthday blues or somthing but when I read on the RQ site that referrals may stop because of the Bejing Olympics it really got me depressed. I keep telling people it will probably be next summer when we hear about our referral....am I crazy to think it will be that soon? I want to believe that the wait times will stablize to about a year....I can handle that but if continues to slow and then stop because of the Olympics....PLEASE....I need to hear some good rumors!!!

Bring on the referrals and lots of them!!!
So, when they say that there will be a hold on referrals for the Olympics, are we talking about the two weeks while they are on? Or are we talking about the months leading up to them?

Elise--I take EVERYTHING I read on RQ site with a huge grain of salt. I maybe visit once or twice a week, just to see what information she has pieced together and stating it as fact. Granted, she does claim she has a lot of "connections" with people and I think she does, however, we can spend all day, every day trying to figure out what China is doing and still not know. Don't let her speculations get to you. When it comes down to it she doesn't know much more than we do and her wait, as well as ours, will be just as long as it is supposed to be. Hang in there, I have some days where I am not as patience as others. God has things to prepare in us while we wait. Here is a blog that has predictions that are based on scientific research rather than speculations. I like his "not whipping us up into a frenzy" mentality that he has.

Crazy no, We all want out babies ASAP. We can pray the our babies will be home sooner than later and trust that God will put the baby that we are ment to have in our arms in his own time.

We are all going to be home watching the Olympics hoping that the babies sleep a little longer so we can see the last event.
OK - this is not a rumor - but, a gut feeling...things are going to speed up! I feel it! I can't prove it - but I feel it! Does that help - ok, I know - I tried! (but, just for the record I really do think things are going to speed up!)

I have been feeling down this week too. The Olympics seem to be the elephant in the room. I think most people are concerned China may want to close down for some period of time around the games but no one wants it to be a real possibility. Just reading it on RQ's site made my stomach turn. If you go over to my blog I have something to cheer you up!
We are all in this together. I wish we could all meet in person, it would help to be able to get together for dinners to vent about how painful this wait will be. Godspeed the Fireflies!
